Worship

Join us on Sundays at 11:00 AM!

What to Expect

Our services generally follow a pattern outlined in the Presbyterian Book of Common Worship, emphasizing the Word (scripture and sermon), music, and prayer. Following the end of the live stream, we share joys and concerns with one another and end with a final prayer. We also offer a moment for children, and welcome them to remain in the sanctuary for the entirety of our service.

Though we take the Gospel seriously, we don't take ourselves too seriously. All kinds of people in all kinds of clothes are welcome at Cove! Some wear their Sunday best and others dress so they can get right back out into the garden after worship. Whoever you are, whatever you wear, you are welcome here.

We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of the month. All are welcome at the the table - no exceptions. Communion is served by intinction, where worshipers are invited to take a piece of bread and dip it in the cup. We offer both grape juice and wine.

Getting Here

parking map.png

You'll find us just off on the northbound side of 29 (Monacan Trail Rd) on Covesville Lane.

From Charlottesville: Take 29 south past the I-64 interchange for a little over 14 miles. When you pass the Covesville post office and antique store, you're 0.4 miles away from the church! Turn left off 29, and left again onto Covesville Lane.

From Nelson County: Take 29 north into Albemarle County. Just over two miles into the county, you'll find us on the right. (We're just around a bend!)

Though we have a small parking lot, plenty of parking is available around the church. People with accessibility or lower mobility needs can park along our driveway (yellow). Those who are more mobile are encouraged to park along Covesville Lane (pink). Overflow parking is also available on the grass by our brick sign (blue).

Live Stream

Our Sunday services are live streamed on YouTube. Streams start a few minutes before 11:00 AM. Past live streamed services can be found under the "live" tab on our YouTube channel.
